Ingredients

  • 6 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. powdered lowfat milk
  • 1 tbsp. baking pwdr
  • 3 tbsp. Crisco (shortening)
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • Water to right consistency

Directions

  1. Knead and roll out 1/4 inch thick. Heat on cast iron plate or possibly in cast iron skillet.
  2. SOPAPILLAS: 1/2 tortilla recipe and do not use Crisco. Roll out thinner than tortillas and cut into squares. Deep fry. Serve hot with honey.
