Easy microwave meal. Great for dorm rooms!

  • 1 (12 ounce.) pkg. egg noodles
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (6 1/2 ounce.) can tuna
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn peas
  • 1/2 c. crushed potato chips

Directions

  1. Put noodles and water in a 2 qt casserole dish that has a cover.
  2. Cover with lid and microwave on high for 5 min.
  3. Stir gently, cook 5 min longer.
  4. Drain tuna. With a fork, break up the tuna.
  5. Add in tuna to the noodles.
  6. Add in soup and peas.
  7. Cover and cook on high for 3 min.
  8. Stir and microwave 2 min longer.
  9. Sprinkle potato chips over the top of the casserole and serve warm.

    I've had this version - to me, it is totally bland. Better with some shredded cheddar, shredded swiss, and mixed vegetables (not just peas) in it. And, please, cook the pasta on the stove in a pan, drain, toss back into the pan, add a little butter and stir to coat - much less clumping. Water? NO! Use milk! Still easy, but develops all the tastes.
    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
