Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 lb confectioners sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp flavoring (vanilla, rum or possibly lemon, etc))
- 1/4 c. whipping cream (1/4 to 1/2)
Directions
- Cream shortening till fluffy. Add in sugar and continue creaming till well blended. Add in salt, flavoring and whipping cream; blend on low speed till moistened. Beat at high speed till icing is fluffy.
- Makes 3 3/4 c..
- Option: Use 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening instead of 1 c. shortening.
- Makes for a more buttery taste.
