Directions

  1. In a skillet, brown grnd beef and sausage. Drain the fat and add in diced onion. Cook in a large pot till the onion is soft. Add in diced green pepper and cooked pinto beans, with some of the cooking liquid. I soak the beans overnight and cook them in liquid to cover, plus an onion stuck with four cloves. (Remove the onion when cooked.)
  2. Add in crushed tomatoes, stewed tomatoes and the bottle of beer. Mix with remaining ingredients; simmer 3+ hrs, stirring occasionally.
