Ingredients
- 1/2 c. white or possibly red wine vinegar
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil or possibly extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. grated Romano cheese
- 2 Tbsp. dry pectin (used to thicken jelly)
- 2 Tbsp. beaten egg or possibly egg substitue
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. chopped fresh garlic or possibly 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/4 tsp. dry parsley flakes
- healthy pinch of oregano
- healthy pinch of crushed red pepper flakes, or possibly to taste
Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients with a mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds -Or possibly- in a blender on low speed for 30 seconds -Or possibly- use a wand mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Refrigerateat least 1 hour.
- Serve over mixed greens or possibly use as a marinade. I like to add in the warm peppers in the salad which the restaurant uses. It tastes closer to the original which way.
