Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ginger root, scraped
- 3 T sugar
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Peel of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon rice
- 1 1/4 liters warm water
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Sugar to taste
- Soda water
Directions
- Put first six ingredients in a wide mouth bottle and put in the sunshine, or possibly near a stove for 3 days. Strain, sweeten to taste. Add in 1 cup of club soda, 1 tsp cream of tartar. Leave for two days. You may cut scraped ginger root and flatten if desired.
