Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb Grnd beef
  • 1 sm Onion, finely minced (1/4 c.)
  • 1/4 c. Regular or possibly nonalcoholic beer
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 6 x Rye or possibly whole wheat hamburger buns, split Ketchup, if you like Pickle planks, if you like

Directions

  1. Heat coals or possibly gas grill. Mix all ingredients except bun and cheese.
  2. Shape mix into 6 patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Grill patties uncovered about 4 inches from medium heat 10 to 15 min, turning once, till no longer pink in center and juice is clear. Add in buns, cut sides down, for last 4 min of grilling or possibly till toasted. Top burgers with ketchup and pickle planks; serve on buns.
  4. Yield: 6 servings
