Sour Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 box 2 layer white cake mix
  • 1 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. canola or possibly vegetable oil
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp butter flavoring or possibly vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Mix oil and sugar till creamy and sugar has started to dissolve. Add in Large eggs and beat thoroughly. Blend in lowfat sour cream. Add in cake mix and flavoring. Pour into prepared Bundt pan and bake 45 min at 350. (or possibly till pick inserted comes out clean)
  2. Variations -Butter flavor cake mix with butter flavoring.
  3. Lemon cake mix with lemon extract and a tbsp. of grated lemon rind.
  4. Chocolate cake mix with orange or possibly raspberry flavoring.
  5. Basically any flavor of cake mix may be used, and it is not necessary to add in any extra flavoring or possibly extract; however, it does intensify the flavor.
