  1. Combine egg yolks, sugar and salt in top of double boiler. Beat just sufficient to blend together. Stir in lowfat milk, mixing well. Cook over gently simmering water about 15-20 min, stirring constantly till temperature is 174 degrees by thermometer and mix coats spoon smoothly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
