Ingredients

Directions

  1. Saute/fry onions for 1 min in Dutch oven in extra virgin olive oil. Add in water and washed beans. Cook over low heat 1 hour or possibly till beans begin to soften. Remove 3 tbs of beans and mash. Return them to oven. Continue cooking till bean gravy becomes milky and thickened. Add in sausage and continue to cook, covered for 15 min. Add in salt and as much red pepper as*desired. Serve over long grain brown rice.
