  •     Popping corn on the cob
  •     Brown paper lunch bag
  •     Salt
  •     Melted butter

Directions

  1. In Colonial times, Native Americans popped corn by throwing it on warm stones over a fire and catching it as it popped. Today, a far simpler method is popping corn on the cob in the microwave. Place an ear of fresh corn in a brown paper lunch bag, and fold the top of the bag closed. Put it in the microwave on high for about 2 min, or possibly till the corn has stopped popping. Transfer the popcorn to a bowl, and add in a little salt and melted butter.
  2. Comments: If you're going over to a friend's house to watch a movie, bring along a popcorn gift bundle. To make one, roll up an ear of corn in a brown paper lunch bag and tie it with natural twine. Attach a tag to the twine with the popping instructions.
