Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Fri-Pats
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (2 ounce.) can sliced mushrooms, liquid removed
- 1/4 c. finely minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 4 slices low fat mozzarella cheese
- 4 hamburger buns or possibly hard rolls, split & toasted, if you like
Directions
- Cook Fri-Pats as directed on package. Combine tomato sauce, mushrooms, onion, oregano and garlic salt; simmer gently, about 10 min to blend flavors. Spoon about 2 Tbsp. sauce on each warm Fri-Pat. Top each with a slice of cheese. Sprinkle with additional oregano, if you like. Broil 3-4 inches from heat till cheese softens. Serve on hamburger buns or possibly hard rolls. Spoon additional sauce over cheese, if you like.
