Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. elbow macaroni, cooked & liquid removed
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 4 tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced pimento
- 1 tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 c. grated cheddar or possibly American cheese
- 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Directions
- Heat butter and stir in flour; cook 2 min, but don't brown. Add in lowfat milk, onion, pimento, mustard, and salt and pepper. Cook till thickened. (Stir to prevent sticking.)
- Remove from heat, stir in cheese and macaroni. Pour in 3 qt casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 min till warm and bubbly.
