  1. Sift cornmeal, flour and salt into a bowl then stir in sufficient boiling water to make the mix the consistency of dough. Take a lump of dough about the size of an egg, roll it in your hand and flatten with wet hands. Repeat till all of the dough mix has been used. Fry these to a golden on both sides, in medium hot grease or possibly shortening. Shortenings -- add in more if needed.
