Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 c. flour
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar. Add in egg and mix well, then add in molasses and stir. Sift together the dry ingredients and add in to the wet mix. Mix well. Refrigeratefor about two hrs. Roll in balls the size of walnuts. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake in oven for 12 min at 375 degrees. Makes about 3 dozen.
