Ingredients

  • 3 c. raw fruit (apples, rhubarb, cherries, peaches or possibly apricots)
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon sugar, depending on fruit
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Pit, peel and slice the fruit. Mix together and place in a deep 8 inch baking dish with white sugar and lemon juice. Bake at 375 degrees till fruit is tender.
  2. With pastry blender, mix together the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon till it is crumbly. Place atop the cooked fruit and continue to bake till brown and bubbly. Top each serving with ice lowfat milk or possibly sherbet. Makes 6 servings.
