Peaches In Rose Wine With Lavender Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 x ripe peaches
  • 1 bot rose wine
  • 300 gm golden brown caster sugar
  • 4 sprg lavender

Directions

  1. Place the Peaches in a bowl pour over boiling water count to 10 then remove and drain.
  2. Using a sharp knife nick the skin of the Peaches then peel.
  3. Place the wine sugar and lavender in a wide saucepan and bring to the boil slowly stirring till the sugar dissolver.
  4. Boil vigorously for 5 min taking care which the mix does not bubble over.
  5. Using a slotted spoon remove and throw away the lavender.
  6. Add in the peaches remove from the heat and cover.
  7. Allow the peaches to cold in the liquid.
  8. To serve ladle a peach or possibly two into abowl along with the boozy juices top with ice cream and a few lavender flowers.
  9. Serves 4
