Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 T water
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon almond or possibly vanilla flavoring
- 1 1/2 T flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
Directions
- Cut together and add in:
- Round into ball and divide in two. Pat dough into two 12 inch x 3 inch strips. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie pan.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup flour immediately to keep from lumping. When smooth add in 3 large eggs, one at a time. Beat till smooth. Divide in half and spread evenly over above. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- Heat butter, add in flour, lowfat milk and vanilla. Cook 1 minute. Add in 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (little over rather than under). Spread on coffee cakes and sprinkle with nuts if you like.
