About me
I am a Personal Chef called The Kilted Cook.
Yes I do lots of cuisines other than Scottish.
Yes, I'll make Haggis if you force me.
Yes I wear a kilt to cook in.
It'll cost extra to find out what's under there. <grin>
Cooking Influences
Jeff Smith, the Frugal Gourmet
Martin Yan
Julie Childs
Rick Bayless
Alton Brown
Awards, Honors and Societies
Competed (but didn't win) in Ultimate Recipe Showdown, Hot & Spicy competition, on Food Network in 2010.
I enter some cooking competitions and have won a few things and a few $$ here and there. Being a "food professional" I can't enter a lot of the big name contests that I'd really like to compete in...
I'm member in good standing of the United States Personal Chef Association.
Additional Services
I do traditional personal chef "two weeks of dinners at a time" services as well as elegant dinner parties for two to two hundred.

- October 17, 2008Hi Ken, The farmers market ends here Oct 31st in Fargo. Ya gotta go 'ta North Dakota. See the cattle and the wheat, and folks that can't be beat. The sky is bluer than blue, the sun is sunnier too. And, if you don't believe it then there is only one thing to do....ya, gotta. That is our state song. Stocking up on squash, peppers, etc - ah, kinda like hoarding food ya know.
