Ingredients
- pkg. chocolate cake mix with pudding
- 1/3 c. butter
- 2 (8 ounce) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 T butter
- 2 ounce semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 T corn syrup
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to package directions substituting 1/3 cup butter for oil. Reserve 1 cup of batter. Pour remaining batter into tube pan.Put together cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer till well blended. Blend in large eggs, one at a time. Pour over batter in pan. Spoon reserved 1 cup batter oven cream cheese mix. Bake 1 hour or possibly till toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 30 min. Remove cake onto wire rack.
- Topping: Put together butter, chocolate and corn syrup in small pan. Cook over low heat till chocolate in melted. Pour over cooled cake.
