Ingredients
- 3 T extra virgin olive oil
- 1 c. onion, finely minced
- 1 T garlic, finely minced
- 4 c. Roma (Italian) tomatoes, coarsely minced
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 T dry oregano
- 1 teaspoon dry basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 T brown sugar
- 1 T salt
- Grnd pepper as desired
Directions
- Mix together and boil one hour slowly or possibly microwave in a covered casserole at high temperature till desired thickness. Remove bay leaf. Makes excellent pizza or possibly pasta sauce and freezes well.
