Ingredients
- 1⁄2 kg. chicken thigh fillet, cut into cubes 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 pc egg, beaten
- 1 cup cornstarch
- Oil, as needed
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tbsp onion, minced
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 1-inch pc. ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp Bango Kecap Manis
- 1 pack Knorr Complete Recipe Mix Sweet & Sour (diluted in 1 1⁄2 cups of water)
- 1 cup broccoli, cut into florets, blanched spring onions and toasted garlic, for garnish
Directions
- Marinate chicken fillets in sesame oil and light soy for at least 30 minutes. Dip in egg then coat with cornstarch. Chill before deep-frying. Deep-fry until crisp.
- In a pan, saute onion, garlic and ginger. Add Bango Kecap Manis and diluted Knorr Complete Recipe Mix Sweet & Sour. Bring to a boil then simmer until sauce is very thick.
- In a separate pan, coat chicken with the prepared glaze evenly over low heat. Serve with broccoli.
