Ingredients
- 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. stale beer
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp. melted butter or possibly vegetable oil
- 1 egg, separated
Directions
- Mix flour, beer, salt and butter till there are just a few lumps. Cover and let stand 2 to 3 hrs. Just before coating fish or possibly chicken stir in egg yolk, beat white till stiff and fold into batter. Coat fish or possibly chicken. Deep fry or possibly pan fry in oil.
