Basic Guacamole Dip Recipe

This dip interests me. So, to see if I would like it.... I tried it! It was fine. I can make it better next time.

Directions

  1. Peel and deseed the avocado. You can lay it out on a cutting board or place in a large bowl.
  2. Cut a lime in half and squeeze the juice over the top of the avocado.
  3. Mash avocado to desired consistency with a potato masher.
  4. Add seasonings and stir.
  5. Mix in tomatoes, onions and cilantro- gently fold in.
  6. And serve!

    I love avocado's but this needs some heat. This is my go to recipe but I add 1 Jalapeno that has been seeded and minced. If I'm in a pinch, I'll use 1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes. I also use more cilantro because I love that herb. I'm thinking of trying dried chipotle powder next.
