Directions

  1. The following appetizer is sure to be a crowd pleaser. I have never taken it anywhere without being asked for the recipe:
  2. Tear artichokes apart with your fingers.
  3. Cut up pita bread into chip size triangles, seperate and bake on a cookie sheet till crispy (approx 5 min).
  4. Combine all remaining ingredients and mash (a KitchenAid mixer works great).
  5. Bake in a uncovered casserole dish for approx 30 min @ 350 or possibly till bubbly.
  6. Serve warm out of the oven and scoop up dip with pita bread. If you intend to take this to a party or possibly are having friends over be prepared to recite this recipe a number of times. My wife and I bring xerox copies with us!
  7. I downloaded this recipe off the internet about 6 years ago and I have made it several times. It is quite good. I usually add in some minced green chiles.
