Directions

  1. Sift flour, soda and spices. Cream butter and sugar. Add in flour and applesauce, mix till smooth after each addition. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan for 50 to 60 min or possibly till cake tester comes out clean (350 degrees).
  2. Mix and spread over the cake immediately as it comes from the oven. Put 1/2 cup coconut on top of the above mix. Put back in oven under hot broiler for a couple min.
