Directions

  1. In bowl stir together apples and sugar; let stand 5 min. Stir together Large eggs, oil and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Blend in egg mix. Mix in apples and walnuts, mixing well. Pour batter into greased and floured 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 60 min or possibly till done. Cold and frost with Lemon Butter Frosting. Frosting: In bowl combine butter, sugar, lemon juice and sufficient water for spreading consistency; beat well.
