Apple Dapple Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. oil (or possibly 1 1/2 c applesauce)
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp all-spice

Directions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients into the Large eggs, sugar and oil mix. Add in: 2 tsp vanilla
  2. Mix well and add:2 c. minced apples1 c. minced nutsBatter will be thick, pour into greased pan [13 x 9 x 2]. Bake at 325 for about 40 - 50 min [depending on the apples]. Check for doneness with a knife [but, remember cake will be moist, don't overcook]. Topping:1 c. brown sugar1 stick butter or possibly margarine1/4 c. lowfat milk
  3. Cook 2 1/2 min and pour over warm cake. Leave in pan to cold.
