Ingredients

3 pound round steak
1/3 c. flour
3 tbsp. shortening
1 env. dry onion soup
1/2 c. water
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions

Sprinkle 1 side of meat with 1/2 of flour and lb. in. Turn and lb. in remaining flour. Cut into serving size pcs. Heat shortening in large skillet, brown meat about 15 min.
Sprinkle onion soup over meat. Mix water and soup, pour over meat. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 - 2 hrs till tender. Use sauce as gravy.
