Indonesian Grilled Turkey Or Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 x boneless turkey breast half (2 - 3 lbs) or possibly 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/3 c. chunky peanut butter
  • 1/3 c. soy or possibly teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp grnd ginger
  • 1 tsp sweet basil
  • 2 tsp onion pwdr
  • 2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper (to 1/3 tsp.)

Directions

  1. Combine everything except chicken in blender or possibly processor till smooth but reserve 1/2 C. Pour remaining sauce over turkey ( I put in baggie so I can shake it) & marinate in refrigerator for 30 min. Grill (use drip pan filled w/ 2 inches of water if you want, I do not) covered over low heat (depending on grill) or possibly bake in broiler pan uncovered at 400 degrees for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till 170 degrees F internal temperature. Baste occasionally and serve w/ reserved sauce
  2. NOTES : This is my favorite peanut sauce recipe although I adjust it to my tastes. I never adjust it the same.
