Ingredients
- 2 c. white corn meal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 T sugar
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 - 3 c. boiling water
- 1/4 - 1/2 c. sweet lowfat milk
- Crisco
Directions
- Sift together dry ingredients. Add in sufficient boiling water to make a stiff dough. Add in 1/4 - 1/2 cup lowfat milk to cool and mellow the dough so you can form into thick or possibly thin patties. Fry in hot Crisco till golden on each side. Serve hot.
