Ingredients

  • 1 x batch pie dough
  • 6 x Granny Smith apples (to 8)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 sm amount of lowfat milk or possibly cream

Directions

  1. Roll out sufficient pie dough for bottom layer. Put in pie pan. Trim dough, leaving about 1" hanging over side. Peel and slice apple thin. Combine sugar and cinnamon, save some for the top of the pie. Layer apples in pie pan. Sprinkle every so often with sugar/cinnamon mix. Add in more sugar if desired a sweet pie. Roll out dough for top of pie crust. Trim dough, leaving 1- 1 1/2" overlap. Tuck top crust under bottom crust and crimp. Poke a few vent holes on top crust. Rub lowfat milk or possibly cream over top of crust, then sprinkle with a little sugar/cinnamon mix. Bake at 400 degrees preheated oven for 10 min. Then lower heat to 350 degrees and bake 35 min or possibly till apples are soft.
