  • 1/2 pkg. chocolate cake mix (2 c.)
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. minced walnuts
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. warm coffee

Directions

  1. Mix water, egg and walnuts and cake mix. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare an 8 x 8 inch or possibly round 9 inch pan.
  2. Place the mix in pan and sprinkle with brown sugar, white sugar, and cocoa. Pour over this the 1 1/2 c. of warm coffee. Bake for about 35 min. Serve, adding whipped cream or possibly ice cream, if you like.
