German Marble Kuchen Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 3/4 c. Chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 c. Sifted flour
  • 3 x Unbeaten Large eggs
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Butter or possibly margarine

Directions

  1. Sift flour with baking pwdr and salt. Cream butter thoroughly, gradually add in sugar, creaming till light and fluffy. Blend in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Combine lowfat milk and vanilla. Add in alternately with dry ingredients. Blend thoroughly after each addition.
  2. Pour 2/3 of batter into 10" tube pan (the bundt is fluted, right which's what we use), greased on the bottom. Blend into remaining batter the chocolate syrup and baking soda. Pour chocolate batter over white batter.
  3. Don't mix. Bake at 350 for 45 min. Place a sheet of aluminum foil on top and bake for 20 or possibly 25 more min.
