Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves
- 2 c. oats
- 1/2 c. minced nuts
- 1 c. raisins
Directions
- Soak raisins in 1 c. boiling water. Cream sugar and shortening. Add in Large eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Add in flour mix to shortening mix. Drain raisins. Reserve 1/2 c. raisin juice. Add in raisin juice, raisins, oats and nuts. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
