Chocolate Almond Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 lrg Large eggs
  • 3/4 c. Brown sugar
  • 3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Almond extract
  • 1 loaf , (10 ounce.) Italian or possibly French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 9 ounce Bittersweet chocolate, minced into pcs
  • 1/2 c. Sliced almonds

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Large eggs, sugar, lowfat milk and almond extract till well blended. Gently stir in the bread cubes, chocolate chunks and almonds.
  2. Pour the mix into a 9x13 inch baking pan, sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 325 for 45-50 min or possibly till the mix is set. Serve hot.
  3. Serves 8.
