Ingredients

3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 Large eggs

Directions

Combine all ingredients for the bottom layer and mix by hand. Pour into a 9x13x2 inch dish. Sprinkle 1 c. pecans over this layer. Combine all the ingredients for the top layer (by hand). Spread over bottom layer. Bake at 350 degrees till done. Cold. Mix icing and spread over cooked mix. Cut cookies into bars.
