About me
Hi! I'm Lindsay and write at my blog, www.schnoodlesoup.com, which chronicles my exploits in the kitchen, as well as my love for my schnoodle, Jackson.
I believe food is one of the most organic ways to show love and I'm constantly thinking of excuses to cook for my friends and family.
I'm a believer in a no-frills kitchen approach and cook "all American" cuisine. I think elegantly plated food, using exotic ingredients is lovely, but not for my kitchen! I'll go out to eat for the fancy stuff and keep it real (and simple!) at home.
Cooking Influences
My grandma - the best cook out there! As well as anyone that cooks from the heart.

- September 20, 2011Lindsay - Thanks for the kind words. I am delighted to hear that the Garlic Herbed Sweet Potato recipe has caught your eye. This is a recipe that I am surprised has not drawn more attention. I just had one cook who followed this recipe for a dinner party for 24 (stuffed roast pork with a port reduction was the entree) and she said that the dish drew raves and her guests were amazed that sweet potatoes could be taken to this level. Please let me know how it goes with you, your family or friends - whoever you serve it to. Some live on food - I thrive on feedback... Amos
- September 20, 2011Hello, Lindsay - Thanks for the follow. Let me be the first to say welcome to the friendliest and most globally-informative cooking site on the internet. As you peruse the different groups you'll find many that will appeal to your "all American" inclinations. But never hesitate to step out of your comfort zone to try something new, challenging, or exotic - it's all here, somewhere. I hope you'll give a couple of my recipes a tumble and let me know what you think. We are all learning, all the time, so don't be shy about sharing your opinions, asking questions, making suggestions. Best wishes - Amos1 reply
