Ingredients

  • 1 head of red cabbage – sliced thin
  • 1 bunch of scallions - chopped
  • 1 jalapeño – sliced with seeds
  • 2 inch piece of ginger – sliced
  • 3 stalks of celery – sliced
  • 5 cloves of garlic – sliced
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Dressing:
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

Directions

  1. Heat a large frying pan with the sesame oil and a drizzle of olive oil. Add the ginger, jalapeño, celery, scallions and garlic to gently sauté.
  2. Add the red cabbage and allow the cabbage cook down partially. Remove to a large salad bowl.
  3. Combine the ingredients for the dressing and add to the salad. Adjust the ingredients for the dressing to taste.
