  1. *Use 15.8 oz cans of black-eyed peas. Saute/fry bacon in large saucepan till lightly browned. Add in onion, jalapenos, tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper to bacon drippings; saute/fry 5 min. Add in water and bouillon, dissolving the cubes in the mix. Add in peas to bouillon mix. Add in cheese and simmer gently till cheese is melted.
