Ingredients
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips first half-c.
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips second half-c.
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. minced nuts if you like
Directions
- Pour the ingredients, one at a time in the order given, into a wide-mouth clear glass qt jar.
- Seal with two-part lid covered with a circle of lace about 1 inch bigger in diameter than the jar. Tie 1/2-inch-wide ribbon around the ring of the jar lid. Attach the following baking directions to the jar:
- To prepare: Sift mix into colander to catch chocolate chips and nuts. Blend 1 c. margarine with dry ingredients. Add in 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 min.
- Makes about 3 dozen.
