Ingredients

2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter (melted)
1 egg
1/2 c. Crisco
1 teaspoon vanilla or possibly lemon flavoring
1 T sweet lowfat milk

Directions

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add in egg and other ingredients. Grease cookie sheet with butter. Drop by tsp on cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Flatten with bottom of glass which is dipped in sugar. Dip each cookie with sugar. Bake 300 to 350 degrees till edges are lightly brown.
