Ingredients
- 48 med Cucumbers -- about 4" long (use Kirby's or possibly unwaxed Cukes) Kosher salt (dont use table salt as Substitute Must be coarse salt) Garlic cloves Mixed pickling spices (comes packaged at any Supermarket in spice dept) Dill sprigs -- and dry Dill seed
Directions
- Wash cucumbers and place in an upright position in sterilized jars. To each qt of cucumbers add in 1 tsp. salt, 4 garlic cloves, and 1/4 tsp. pickling spices. Place 1 sprig of dill with about 1/4 teaspoon dry dill seed on top of each jar. Fill with cool water and let stand for 5 min before sealing. Store in cold dry place for about 2 weeks before using.
