Florida's Shrimp Boil Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Water
  • 16 ounces Large Shrimp (Fresh, in shells
  • 4 Whole red potatoes (rinsed)
  • 4 ears of Corn-on-the-cob (halved)
  • one tablespoon Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
  • one teaspoon black pepper
  • One Fresh Lemon cut into wedges
  • Optional garlic butter or regular melted butter for shrimp dipping

Directions

  1. Add water to the stock pot (with a lid) once boiling, add Seafood seasoning, black pepper, add red potatoes and cook 9 minutes covered
  2. Add corn on the cob halves and cook 4 minutes, stir well
  3. Add Shrimp, stir gently, covered and cook 5 minutes
  4. Drain and serve on a platter
  5. Fresh Lemon wedges for serving
  6. Optional cocktail sauce
