Easy Tres Leches Cake Recipe

This is an easy to prepare cake mix recipe version of the popular Mexican confection. It is a very moist cake, once the three milks have saturated it, so you'll need a spatula to remove the pieces from the pan.

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. In a mixing bowl beat eggs with sour cream, add butter, vanilla, and cake mix.
  3. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth.
  4. Pour into greased, floured 9x13 pan.
  5. Bake about 35 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, cool 10 minutes, poke 30-40 holes in the cake with a skewer.
  7. Heat dulce de leche in a saucepan, stir until melted and smooth, add other two milks, stir until blended, pour over cake.
  8. Refrigerate several hours. Top with Cool Whip.
