Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar; add in egg and beat well. Add in sifted dry ingredients alternately with lowfat milk and vanilla extract; mix thoroughly.
  2. Roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut with floured cookie cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet, 350 degree oven, about 10 min. Refrigeratedough before rolling. Lift with spatula to keep shape.
  3. Drop Cookies: Omit 1/2 c. flour. Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet.
