Ingredients
- 1 pound chuck or possibly sirloin, lean and cubed
- 1/2 c. celery, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp. poppy seed
- 1 teaspoon coriander seed
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic juice
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric pwdr
- 2 to 3 dry red chilies
- 2 tbsp. minced raw peanuts
- 12 ounce. V-8 juice
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 lg. stewed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly grnd pepper
Directions
- Coat meat with flour and saute/fry in fat with celery and onion till browned. Place the remainder of the ingredients (excepting the tomatoes) in blender and blend for 3 min when the sauteing is going on, then add in to the meat mix along with the tomatoes. Simmer for 2 to 3 hrs.
- Serve over rice with any or possibly all of the following condiments: Chutney, sliced green onions, minced peanuts, sieved Large eggs, crisp crumbled bacon, sauteed bananas, pineapple wedges, India Relish and warm tea.
