Ingredients
- 1 lb Pork
- 2 c. Water
- 2 x Or possibly
- 3 x Bean curd cakes
- 1 x Onion
- 1 x Clove garlic
- 1Â 1/2 c. Stock
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2Â 1/2 Tbsp. Oil
Directions
- 1. Place pork in a pan with water and bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, 4 min, then drain, discarding liquid. Let pork cold.
- 2. Meanwhile slice or possibly cube bean curd, slice onion, crush garlic. Combine stock, sugar, soy sauce and salt.
- 3. Heat oil in a large heavy pan. Add in onion and garlic and brown lightly. Add in pork and brown quickly on all sides.
- 4. Add in bean curd; stir-fry gently, or possibly tilt pan, to cover with warm oil.
- 5. Add in stock mix and heat; then simmer, covered, till pork is tender (about 40 min).
