Ingredients

Cost per recipe $0.76 view details
  • 1 can (15 ounce, 540 mL) black beans (or possibly kidney or possibly pinto, if you prefer)
  • 1 x carrot, washed but not peeled
  • 1/5 x th of an onion
  • 1 x clove garlic soy sauce salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, to taste
  • 1 x -2 slices of bread or possibly something bready like pita curry pwdr

Directions

  1. 1. Blend beans, carrot, onion, garlic, salt/pepper/paprika/cumin, and a splash of soy sauce till it's mushy but not smooth. Remove from blender. Clean blender.
  2. 2. Blend bread and curry pwdr till you have about a c. of fine bread crumbs, all "turmericky".
  3. 3. By hand, mix all the stuff together. Form into patties and fry in warm oil till browned and crispy. Do not worry if they fall apart, they're still delicious. They're not spicy, they're very tasty and filling. If you make too much to eat at once, the uncooked mix can be stored in the fridge for about a week with no worries.
