Baked Ziti with Sausage Recipe

An easy casserole that great for Church Gatherings, Family Reunions, Sport Events, and Cold Winter Days. (Modified from an unknown Magazine page.)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350*F
  2. Warm Pancetta/Bacon in a lg skillet and add Onion and Garlic, saute 3 min
  3. Add Sausage and saute 5 min or until meat is cooked
  4. Add wind and cook 3 min
  5. Stir in Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, and Red Pepper
  6. Reduce heat to Low and cook 3 min, stirring occasionally
  7. Stir Ricotta and 1 c Mozzarella Cheese in to hot pasta
  8. Lightly grease 9x13" glass pan with cooking spray
  9. Transfer pasta mix to pan and top with sausage mix
  10. Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese and remaining Mozzarella Cheese
  11. Bake for 25-30 min, or until bubbly

    If you wish to freeze, allow to cool COMPLETELY after cooking and wrap well with plastic wrap and then foil wrap. I like to make several in disposable tin pans and freeze to have on hand for any occasion. Simply defrost completely and heat till bubbling in a 350*F oven.
